The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Train Discount Tariff Will Be Announced October 2, 2023

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) revealed that the government will announce the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train tariff at the inauguration on October 2. This includes the discount on the tariff for this mode of transportation.

This was revealed by the Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Mohamad Risal Wasal when met at the Hub Space event, Friday, September 29.

"Later it will be announced there (during the inauguration) how much is the discount," said Risal.

As is known, initially the inauguration of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train would be carried out directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on October 1. However, because it coincided with the Pancasila sacred holiday, it was postponed.

"When he was busy. On Sunday there was a ceremony, solid," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said that during the meeting the government would also inaugurate the logo and identity of the alias branding of the high-speed train, namely Right.

"So on October 2, 2023, there were several important decisions at the event. First, the logo will be announced, and we also know its name isctional," said Budi.

Philosophy Name

The government has officially determined the name for the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB), namelyfewsh. The name is the result of a limited competition for identity design.

Budi explained that the name is also in accordance with the depiction of the fast train which is currently the fastest in Southeast Asia.

"Whoosh also stands for 'Efficient Time, Optimal Operation, Handal System' which is the identity of the high-speed train," he said in an official statement, Friday, September 22.
