Ensuring Combat Readiness of Arhanud's Unit, Kasad Reviews Heavy Weapons Shooting Practice
LUMAJANG - Chief of Army Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dr. Dudung Abdurachman saw firsthand the combat readiness of an army unit that was practicing shooting with heavy weapons.
The Air Defense Artillery heavy weapons shooting training (Latbakjatrat Arhanud) was carried out in an integrated manner, which was held by the Air Defense Artillery Weapons Center (Pussenarhanud) at the Indonesian Air Force AWR training location Pandanwangi, Lumajang, East Java.
Kasad emphasized that this kind of training is important to increase the combat capability and readiness of troops to face various threats in Indonesian territory and maintain the country's sovereignty.

Kasad also emphasized that the ability to man the defense equipment must continue to be improved through continuous training.
"I feel proud that Arhanud's soldiers were able to carry out integrated heavy weapons training. In the future, we will continue to communicate to the Minister of Defense regarding the modernization of defense equipment, especially TNI AD cannons, so that they can develop according to the threats currently faced," said Kasad while "Hopefully this exercise can provide positive results for continuous efforts to improve the Army's combat capabilities," said TNI Kasad General Dr. Dudung Abdurachman, Lumajang, Thursday, September 28.
This Jatrat integration training trains and tests Arhanud's weapons system and command control capabilities. Activities carried out included shooting at moving air targets and static ground targets using Mistral Missile Defense Equipment, Starstreak Missiles, 57mm Cannons, 40mm Cannons, 23mm Cannons and 20mm Cannons.
This exercise involved 158 organizers and 372 trainees from Army Arhanud units.
On this occasion, Kasad also carried out an honorary shooting and received the Brevet Master Gunner and Brown Beret pinning by Danpussenarhanud, Major General TNI Johanis Payung S.E., M.Tr (Han).
Before reviewing Latbakjatrat Arhanud, Kasad first reviewed social service activities in the form of mass medical treatment, providing assistance to communities around the training area, assistance for stunted children, and providing assistance of 100 million rupiah for renovations to the construction of mosques.
