With Many Factories, East Jakarta Is the Area That Contributes the Most Pollution
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service, Asep Kuswanto, said that East Jakarta is the most polluted area.
This is due to the large number of factories or industries located in east Jakarta. Due to this condition, Asep said that East Jakarta has become the area most closely watched by the Air Pollution Control Task Force.
"The East Jakarta area is the target of the Task Force's operations, because this area has many industries and has the potential to become one of the contributors to stationary emission sources in DKI Jakarta," said Asep in his statement, Wednesday, September 27.
Then, based on monitoring data from the air quality monitoring station (SPKU), East Jakarta is one of the regions that has the highest average air pollution standard index (ISPU) compared to other regions.
"In that case, everything that has the potential to pollute air quality will be monitored, and this operation is a form of monitoring. "Of course, if we are proven to have violated it, we will clearly impose sanctions, even up to the revocation of the environmental permit," stressed Asep.
Asep emphasized that currently, his party continues to monitor industries, especially those that still use coal fuel in their operations. Especially in areas that have industrial areas such as East Jakarta and North Jakarta.
"So we have to thoroughly monitor all industries, especially those that still use coal. "This supervision is also part of the socialization of the DKI Provincial Government's target that by 2030 all industries in Jakarta must have low emissions," he explained.
