President Jokowi: Want To Choose Mr. Prabowo, Anies, Ganjar Please, Different Fair Choices No Need To Worry About

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo invites the public to vote for presidential candidates (candidates) for their respective choices in the 2024 General Election, but must continue to maintain so that there are no divisions.

"The difference in choice is natural. If you want to choose Mr. Prabowo, please. Want to choose Mr. Anies, please. Want to vote for Mr. Ganjar, please. The difference in choice is natural, there is no need to make a fuss," said Jokowi while attending the opening of the National Jambore Dai in Madani Parmusi 2023 Village in Cianjur Regency, West Java, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 26.

Jokowi also hopes that the preachers can provide understanding to the public about the importance of maintaining unity and tolerance in dealing with differences, especially ahead of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections.

Strong unity, continued Jokowi, is important to maintain in the political year so as not to hinder ongoing development, including development in villages. Conditions in villages, according to him, are very important because they are the smallest units in Indonesian society.

"It must be anticipated as early as possible so that there are no divisions and divisions, so that a peaceful atmosphere is maintained, so that development in the village also continues. The most important and most important thing is to maintain our unity and integrity, and it starts from the smallest unit, namely the village," he explained.

Jokowi recounted his working visit some time ago to a number of countries on the African continent. While in Africa, Jokowi admitted that he was sad because he found almost half of the countries in Africa in conflict, so his government did not go well.

With the ineffectiveness of the government in the midst of conflicts in a number of African countries, Jokowi continued, the people also suffered.

"The people cannot be handled properly, it contains only war every day. When I went to Afghanistan it was the same. This is what we must protect, unity and integrity," he added.

Indonesia, which has hundreds of ethnicities, must be protected from the threat of division. If there is a conflict that divides society, then recovery efforts will not be easy to do.

"Don't let these three candidates (will) be elected, (if) one has been selected, have coffee, eat together, the ones below are still noisy, don't; because every five years there must be a continuous democratic process," said Jokowi.
