Padang Restaurant Customers In South Jakarta Become Victims Of Theft, The Mode Of Sliding Bags
JAKARTA - The theft with the sliding mode of the bag occurred in the Padang restaurant in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta. The perpetrator's actions were caught on surveillance cameras or CCTV at the scene.
Mampang Prapatan Police Chief Kompol David Kanito confirmed the incident. According to him, the incident occurred on Thursday, September 21, at 14.30 WIB.
The incident began when the victim with the initials O (37) was enjoying a meal at the dining table with his friends at a Padang restaurant. Without realizing it his bag had been stolen by the perpetrator's gang.
In the recording, it can be seen that the perpetrators, totaling 4 people, sat behind the victim. They shared their duties in the action, in order to smooth out the theft.
"There was someone who was not known to be sitting behind the victim and the position of the victim's bag was placed on the bench next to the victim, while the victim was eating and was careless, the perpetrator took the bag that was being carried and pulled over or handed over to the perpetrator's friend," David said when confirmed, Thursday, September 21.

After the perpetrator managed to steal the victim's bag, they left the scene. Unfortunately, the victim only realized that his bag had disappeared when he wanted to pay for his food at the cashier.
"Then the victim asked the restaurant to check CCTV and it was true that someone sitting behind the victim took the bag by shifting the seat where the victim put his bag and took it away," he said.
David said the losses suffered by the victims reached tens of millions of rupiah.
"One bag containing one Ipad, wallet, airpod, two STNK, SIM, Voucher Map worth 12 million," he explained.
