Held A Meeting At NasDem Tower, Coalition For Change Wants Anies-Muhaimin To Be The First Registrant At The KPU

The Coalition for Amendments held its inaugural meeting to discuss the administrative preparations of the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) pair so that they could become the first registrant as a pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024 to the General Elections Commission (KPU).

This is as ordered by the leaders of political parties who are members of the Change Coalition.

The discussion was carried out by each secretary-general from the NasDem Party, PKB and PKS accompanied by representatives of the secretary-general in NasDem Tower in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 18.

"This is our inaugural meeting after the Shura Council declared its support for Pak Muhaimin as vice president. At the inaugural meeting we wanted to compete quickly, because in accordance with the direction of our leadership, we were asked to become the first candidate applicant later if the KPU opened registration," said NasDem Secretary General Hermawi Taslim during a press conference at NasDem Tower, Monday, September 18.

Hermawi said Anies-Imin's winning team focused on working and preparing for administrative completeness to the KPU. He claims that the readiness of AMIN pairs to register has almost one hundred percent.

"So, apart from the secretary general of the three parties, there is Pak Anies' team, hopefully our readiness will be at 85 percent meeting, because each office has prepared itself on its laptop. This is our preparation to register 85 percent and we are determined to be the first registrant," said Hermawi.

Hermawi explained that later the results of today's meeting will be consulted with each party leader. On Wednesday, September 20, the day after tomorrow a meeting will be held again to discuss registration technicalities.

"Especially in relation to the laws and electoral provisions regulated by the KPU," said Hermawi.

Meanwhile, PKB Secretary General Hasanuddin Wahid said that during the meeting the secretary-general also carried out an in-depth investigation into the vision and mission of the Anies-Imin pair. The team also involved experts so that the registration of AMIN pairs could immediately meet the requirements based on the Law and PKPU.

"Because often it becomes useless when the administration is messy and so on. Therefore, we want to improve the administration at other times, the requirements are not clear because they are not complete, if we are the candidates, it is clear that the brides already exist, the supporting parties are also sufficient, and then there are more and more great people who work both on stage and behind the scenes. Therefore, we are sure to be the first registrants at the KPU later," Hasanuddin said.

PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi said today's meeting was also to ensure that the Anies-Imin ship was ready to sail.

"So we need to prepare the captain for the sailing, we have to prepare the map, map the journey, continue the engine, gasoline, and so on, we prepare everything. God willing, in one week we can meet several times because it is also part of the mutualism of cooperation in political and cultural life," said Aboe.
