Leaf And Kicks Owners Affected By Recalls Asked To Come To Workshop Immediately, Nissan Indonesia: Only 30-40 Percent Are Overcome
JAKARTA - Some time ago, Nissan Indonesia had taken firm steps by carrying out a recall process for two vehicle models sold in Indonesia, namely the Nissan Leaf and Kicks e-POWER, with two different problems.
The company revealed that the hybrid SUV had problems with the Blow by Hose and Vehicle Control parts. Meanwhile, the Nissan Leaf needs to be checked in the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) section.
Confirmed from Julian Olmon, as the Head of Marketing and Communication of Nissan Motor Distribution Indonesia, said that the total number of affected units was 1,293 units.
"For Kicks 1,183 units and Leaf 110 units. So far, the recall on these two models has reached 30-40 percent of the total," Julian said when contacted by VOI, Monday, September 18.
Nissan Leaf owners are advised to immediately take their electric vehicle to Nissan's official workshop for inspection or if needed, it will be programmed back for free in the VCM section. Nissan explained that the repromizing process was carried out to improve the quality and performance of vehicle acceleration.
Some of the affected units are production between November 3, 2020 and January 7, 2021 at Kicks e-POWER. Meanwhile, the affected Leaf is produced between November 6, 2019 and December 6, 2022.
Affected vehicle owners can check the status of their vehicles through Umbinan.co.id/owners/recall or contact Nissan Care Online Assistant via 1500023 for more information.

This is the second time Nissan Indonesia has carried out a recall process after what was previously carried out in May. The recall was carried out to replace the airbag component in order to prevent unwanted events that could result in injuries to the driver. The models affected at that time were Sentra, X-Trail, Livina, Latio, Navara, and Frontier.
