"The success of the regional head (is, ed) how poverty can be reduced, the recipients of social assistance are reduced," Alexander said in a written statement, Friday, September 15.
Alexander also reminded regional heads not to exchange social assistance receipts for votes during general elections (elections).
"Don't let the election incur people who don't deserve social assistance to get voice support," he said.
"This is also an indicator for voters. If the poverty data and social assistance recipients do not drop, it means that the government has failed for 5 years," continued Alexander.
