The Attorney General's Office Names Three Suspects In The MBZ Toll Corruption Case, Erick Thohir: Cleaning SOEs Is Proven
The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named three suspects in the alleged corruption case of the construction of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II Toll Road to West Karawang or MBZ.
The three suspects are Yudhi Mahyudin (YM) as Chair of the JJC Auction Committee, Toni Budianto Sihige (FFB) as a bridge expert at PT LAPI Ganesatama Consulting, and Djoko Dwijono (DD) as the President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalan Layang Cikampek (JJC) for the 2016-2020 period.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir also opened his voice regarding the involvement of former JCC boss in the alleged corruption case of the MBZ toll road project. He said that the AGO's determination of the suspect was a good thing.
According to Erick, the BUMN 'clean-up' step by involving the Attorney General's Office proves that many parties have committed corruption.
"It's good, if it is indeed cleaning up BUMN, it is proven that many parties are indeed corrupt, or these individuals can be resolved from the results of our cooperation with the prosecutor's office," he said at the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 14.
As previously reported, the Director of Investigation at the Jampidsus Attorney General's Office Kuntadi explained that his party had pocketed two sufficient pieces of evidence in determining the three suspects.

In this case, investigators have examined 146 witnesses and a series of other investigative actions, including searches and seizures in several places.
"We found at least two pieces of evidence that we considered sufficient and so on today we have named three witnesses as suspects," said Kuntadi.
Meanwhile, long before naming three suspects, investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office had already named one suspect related to the obstruction case of the investigation with the initials IBN so that in total there were four suspects in this case.
