Volvo Brings Updates To The PHEV Model Ranks To Malaysia Market
JAKARTA - In recent weeks, many well-known automotive manufacturers have released their vehicles in Malaysia, including the latest one being a Swedish car manufacturer, Volvo.
Volvo is again strengthening its market in Southeast Asia by presenting updates to its electrification models, namely several Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) models in the Malaysian market, namely XC90, XC60, S90, S60, and V60. Of course, the update includes several aspects, one of which is in terms of vehicle features.
Reporting from Paultan, Tuesday, September 12, all PHEV models offered in the neighboring country have been equipped with a panoramic sunset. In addition, all models are also available with the latest color options, namely Vapour Gray, which will follow some previous colors.
Furthermore, the exterior also received an update with a good rim design. S90 Recharge gets an eight-stop rim design, while for the S60 Recharge and V60 Recharge get the latest six-stop rim design.
Customers will also get access to five years of digital services in this car consisting of Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play Store, and the Volvo Cars app as functional remotes.
The PHEV Volvo lineup update also features an updated On-Board Charging (OBC) and more powerful than ever by producing two or three-phase charging up to 6.4 kW.
Thus, the charging is expected to charge from five hours to three hours when it is 2.6 kW. The new charger takes four hours to fully charge at 4.0 kW, or seven hours at 2.4 kW.
Even though charging is increased, Volvo has not made changes in the battery sector within the PHEV 2024 lineup. This means that Volvo still maintains an 18.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, resulting in a range of 70 to 90 km when cars travel with pure electric power.

However, changes were presented from the heart sector of the runway which offered to increase power from electric motors to 143 dk and coupled with 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engines and 4-cylinder supercharged to 455 dk and 709 Nm torque.
Volvo Malaysia has released prices for the PHEV model lineup. The XC90 Recharge model is priced at 432,888 Malaysian ringgit or around Rp1.4 billion. Then, for the XC60 Recharge model, it is sold for a value of 355,888 ringgit or for Rp1.1 billion.
For the other three models, S90 Recharged is priced at 370,888 ringgit or equivalent to Rp1.2 billion, Volvo S60 Recharge at a price of 313,888 ringgit or around Rp1 billion, and V60 Recharge is priced at 321,888 ringgit or Rp1.055 billion.
