Pretending To Be In Gathering, This Woman Little By Little Gets IDR 150 Million In A Suitcase Under The Mattress
BANGKA BARAT - The police revealed a case of theft of around Rp150 million in cash that occurred in Tempilang District.
"The disclosure of this case originated from the victim's report received by the Tempilang Police and was followed up by the arrest of a woman with the initials Ma alias Li (34), a resident of Airlintang Village," said West Bangka Police Chief AKBP Fedriansah quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 4.
He explained that the perpetrator was someone close to the victim who committed the theft by repeatedly taking the victim's money. The total loss reached IDR 150 million.
The disclosure of the theft began with suspicion by the parent of the reporter named Gunawan, who felt that he had lost Rp150 million in cash which was stored in a suitcase and placed under the bed.
"The victim felt that his savings had started to decrease since December 21, 2020 and only reported it a few days ago which was immediately followed up by the Tempilang Police personnel with an investigation," said AKBP Fedriansah.
Meanwhile, Kapolsek Tempilang Ipda Mulia Renaldi, personnel investigation and data collection focused on a perpetrator who was immediately arrested.
The police then arrested the perpetrator with the initials Ma Alias Li (34) at his home on Wednesday, February 3rd.
"From the arrest, the perpetrator confessed his actions," he said.
According to the perpetrator's confession, the perpetrator took the victim's money repeatedly by pretending to stay in touch with the victim's house and delivering food.
The stolen money was used by the perpetrator to sell business capital at the shop and to buy some jewelry, watches, cell phones and other food items.
The evidence that the police were able to find and then confiscated included a silver necklace, a silver anklet, a silver bracelet, two earrings, and a silver ring.
Then the silver Swiss Army watch, black Samsung cellphone, 11 shirts, and a number of basic necessities.
"We have named the perpetrator as a suspect and our evidence is confiscated for further investigation," he said.
