Hasto Regrets The Arrogance Of The Chairperson Of The Gerindra DPC In Semarang
JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed a case of alleged beating of PDIP cadre Suparjianto by the chairman of the Gerindra DPC in Semarang, Central Java.
"Democracy should not prioritize emotions, let alone impose will. From simple things, throwing cellphones alone is not allowed in a good democratic realm, let alone committing acts of violence," said Hasto in Senen area, Central Jakarta, Saturday.
He saw that ahead of the election, all parties should be able to show good quality of democracy. For this reason, Hasto regretted the incident.
"That's why we deeply regret any act of arrogance, let alone using intimidation using violence, it should not be in our democratic realm," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Semarang PDIP DPC Hendrar Prihadi said the beating took place at around 21.45 WIB on Friday (8/9).
"Last night Friday night at 21.45 WIB there was our friend Pak Suparjianto, a resident of Jalan Cumi-cumi, Bandarharjo Village, North Semarang, who was visited by the chairman of the Gerindra DPC. Then without the Gerindra chairman, who is also a member of the DPRD, Semarang City, hit our cadres," added Hendrar.
He said Hasto asked PDIP cadres to reduce emotions and report the incident to the police. The incident has also been reported to the Chairman of the Central Java PDIP DPD Bambang Wuryanto alias Bambang Pacul to PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.
"And the order from the Secretary General this morning was first, we were asked to reduce the emotions of our friends so that in Semarang there would not be a strong conflict between these two parties, our party and Gerindra," he added.
He also said that he would immediately carry out orders to report the incident to the authorities. The beating occurred because of the installation of the PDIP flag.
