Puan Plans To Meet Again Democrats, PDIP: Being Scheduled

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P Presidential Election Winning Volunteer Coordination Team (TKRPP) Ahmad Basarah said PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani was arranging a schedule to meet the Democratic Party. This meeting is considered to be taking place to discuss cooperation between parties.

This was conveyed by Basarah in response to the opportunity for the Democratic Party to join the party supporting Ganjar after leaving the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP).

"(The meeting with the Democrats, ed) is being scheduled with Mbak Puan Maharani," Basarah told reporters at Ganjar Pranowo's Aspirational House, Central Jakarta, Saturday, September 9.

Basarah ensured that his party was open to collaborating with any political party to win Ganjar, including Democrats. Moreover, political communication continues.

"How are the results, we'll see," he said.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that political communication with the Democratic Party was getting more intense. However, he did not want to talk about the possibility that Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono's party would join in supporting Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.

"Political communication has been running since the third national working meeting," Hasto told reporters in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, Saturday, September 9.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the Democratic Party Andi Arief had mentioned that there were two parties supporting Ganjar next door to his party office. This statement was then considered a code.

"The PDIP office and PPP are close, that's the code. How come the office is close," said Chairman of the Democratic Party Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Andi Arief to reporters, Wednesday, September 6.

Even so, Andi said the Democrat Party was still building communication with other parties, such as Gerindra. However, regarding the progress, it is more aimed at PDIP or Gerindra who supports Prabowo Subianto, Andi is reluctant to reveal.
