Clothing Convection In Tambora Burns, 33 Houses Scorched, Residents Live In Emergency Tents
JAKARTA - A total of 33 semi-permanent houses and a clothing convection warehouse on Jalan Krendang Utara, RT 03, 04 in RW 02, Krendang Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta, were scorched by fire on Thursday night, September 7.
The fire continued to grow because many materials were flammable. This big fire was only extinguished on Friday, September 8, in the early hours of the morning.
"The alleged cause of the fire was due to an electrical short circuit. As a result of the fire, as many as 252 people from 63 families were affected by the fire. The loss is estimated at more than 1 billion," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin when contacted by VOI, Friday, September 8.
Gulkarmat officers said the area burned was about 1500 square meters. The fire was extinguished by 20 fire engines and 100 officers.
"Objek terbakar rata-rata rumah semi permanen. Sebanyak 30 rumah di RT 03 dan 3 rumah di RT 04. Total ada 33 rumah dan 1 gudang kain konveksi yang terbakar," ujarnya.
There were no casualties or injuries as a result of a fire in a densely populated area of the Krendang area, Tambora District. The owner only suffered material losses.

The head of Krendang Village, Al Barkah, said that the beginning of the fire from the second floor of Mr. Aan's rented house was suspected to have an electrical short circuit.
"Residents affected by the fire were accommodated at the RW 02 secretariat," he said.
Meanwhile, the Tambora Police are still conducting an investigation at the location of the fire to determine the exact cause of the fire.
