Bengkulu Prosecutor's Office Arrests One Suspect In The BOK Fund Corruption Case In Jakarta

BENGKULU - The joint team for arresting fugitives from the Attorney General's Office and the intelligence team of the Bengkulu High Prosecutor's Office arrested the suspect RF in connection with the corruption case of health operational assistance (BOK) at the Kaur Regency.

The suspect was a resident of Tangerang, Banten and was arrested on Sunday (3/9) for obstructing the investigation into the BOK fund corruption case in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu.

"RF was arrested in Jakarta last afternoon (3/9) and has been named a suspect in connection with the obstruction of the investigation," said Bengkulu Attorney General's Special Crime Investigator (Pidsus) Dewi Kelalasari as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 4.

He said the suspect RF was currently taken to the Bengkulu Women's Correctional Institution (Lapas) after arriving in Bengkulu on Monday (4/9) night.

Previously, the Attorney General's Office (AGO) and the investigating team of the Kaur District Attorney's Office (Kejari) also arrested three perpetrators related to a corruption case on Friday (28/7) at a fast food restaurant in the South Jakarta area.

The three suspects, namely BSS, AH and RNS, received Rp920 million as evidence and the money allegedly came from a number of heads of health centers receiving BOK funds in 2022.

The money was given by witnesses to one of the perpetrators with the hope that the investigation process being carried out by the Kaur Kejari against the alleged corruption of BOK funds could be stopped.

During the arrest, the prosecutor's team confiscated evidence in the form of cellphones, proof of transfer, receipts and many more.

The arrest of the perpetrator was due to obstructing the investigation into alleged corruption in the implementation and management of BOK funds at 16 Puskesmas in Kaur Regency for Fiscal Year 2022.
