Muamalah Market Zaim Saidi Confuses National Finance And Economy, Vice President Ma'ruf: The Police Step Right
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin appreciates the work of the National Police in arresting the Muamalah Market perpetrators in Depok, West Java. This is because illegal financial activities are not in accordance with the transaction regulations in force in Indonesia.
"I think that (Polri) is very precise, because they do not comply with the existing regulations in our country. So there should not be a transaction that is not in accordance with the existing system in our country," said Vice President Ma'ruf in his statement. reported from Antara, Thursday, February 4.
Muamalah market transactions deviate from the existing economic and financial regulations in Indonesia. So, continued Ma'ruf, the legal steps taken by the National Police were aimed at preventing chaos in the national financial system.
"The problem here is about law enforcement against the violations committed. Our financial system has regulated that our instruments and transactions use rupiah currency. So this is to prevent chaos in our national financial and economic problems," he said.
Muamalah Market has been operating since 2014, containing dozens of traders selling daily necessities using dirhams and dinars.
The trading community was formed by following market traditions at the time of the Prophet, including leasing leases and transactions using the Saudi Arabian currency.
"The use of gold coins or dirhams is not in accordance with the existing rules and regulations in our country," said the Vice President.
The police have named Muamalah Market founder Zaim Saidi as a suspect in Article 9 of Law No.1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law and Article 33 of Law Number 7 of 2011 concerning Currency, with the threat of one year in prison and a fine of Rp200 million.
