Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Will Be Marketed In Australia At A Price Of IDR 1 Billion
Hyundai Ioniq 5N was officially introduced last July at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 as a high-performance variant of Ioniq 5.
This electric SUV is the result of a special development by Hyundai's top performance division, namely N. Hyundai also revealed that Ioniq 5 N is their first step in planning electrification, and they hope to bring more EV cars developed by N.
However, the launch of this electric car in several areas took place quickly. It is reported that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N will be available on the Australian market in early 2024.
Reporting from Carscoops, Friday, September 1, the most powerful SUV from Hyundai is valued at 111,000 Australian dollars or equivalent to Rp1,094 billion, making it the most expensive Hyundai car ever.
However, the South Korean manufacturer also held a pre-sale program that will start on September 15, where customers can order Ioniq 5 N through Hyundai Australia with a USD 2,000 deposit or around IDR 19.7 million to secure their orders.
However, interested customers must act quickly, because the pre-sale period only lasts 12 hours. This pre-sale program also offers a number of attractive incentives.
Customers who order Ioniq 5N in pre-sale will get a package containing two Hyundai N boxes that are made in collaboration with Pelican, as well as other merchandise with a total value of 1,000 Australian dollars.
Ioniq 5 N, like several other models developed by division N, has three main pillars in its development, namely Corner Rascal, Racetrack CAPability, and Everyday Sportscar.
In terms of appearance, Ioniq 5N has a significant difference compared to its standard version. Division N added several elements to increase the impression of sporty in this model, such as black trim and rear wing designed to improve vehicle aerodynamics.
Ioniq 5 N is powered by a dual electric motor that produces 600 dk of power and a torque of 748 Nm. With the N Grin Boost feature, this figure can increase to 641 dk and torque 770 Nm.
With this power, Ioniq 5N is able to reach speeds of 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 260 km/hour.

Hyundai also embeds the latest battery pack with a capacity of 84 kWh, which is the highest among all Hyundai electric cars. With the ultra-fast charging feature, Ioniq 5 N can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes.
There are also some special features added to Ioniq 5 N, including N e-shift and N Active Sound+. These two features provide a satisfying driving experience for users of this SUV.
N e-shifts are useful for users who want to feel the sensation of driving an Ioniq 5N car such as combustion engine cars. This feature can simulate a transmission system of eight DCT accelerations so that drivers can feel the same driving sensation.
Meanwhile, N Active Sound + creates a sound that resembles a combustion engine car in Ioniq 5 N. There are 10 speakers, eight inside the vehicle and two outside, which offer several voice themes.
