Cavani's 200 Goals For PSG Who Threw It
JAKARTA - Edinson Cavani scored his 200th goal for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions in the match against Bordeaux in Ligue 1, Sunday, February 23. Cavani made this record from 298 matches.
The Uruguay international, celebrating his 33rd birthday this month, equalized for PSG with a powerful header from Angel Di Maria's cross. In the match that took place at the Parc de Princes, PSG won 4-3.
It was Cavani's seventh goal of the season for PSG. It is quite minimal, considering that he is no longer the main choice of coach Thomas Tuchel.
"These are team-mates who gave you a lot of goals," Cavani told Canal + after the match.
"This is a very special moment after going through a difficult January, but I am here to give my best and try to have a great season with this team," continued the striker.
Cavani joined PSG from Italian club Napoli in July 2013 and will be on a free transfer at the end of this season. He became PSG's top scorer in January 2018 when he surpassed Zlatan Ibrahimovic's record of 156 goals.

Reported by OptaJean, of the 200 goals scored by Cavani, 138 of them were produced in Ligue 1, 30 in the Champions League and 32 in the Domestic Cup.
From the side of the zone the goal. Cavani scored 187 balls from inside the penalty box and 13 others from outside the forbidden box. Meanwhile, from the process of the goals, 151 of them were scored from open play and 49 goals from set piece tactics.
"I'm like a little emotional. I look at my family who is always behind me, giving me encouragement, giving me love. In the end that's what makes you rise. It gives me a lot of emotions that's why I'm a little like that," explained Cavani.

Apart from Cavani, in that match defender Marquinhos scored a brace and Kylian Mbappe scored another goal. Meanwhile, Neymar even got a red card during injury time.
With this result, PSG leads the standings by 13 points from main competitors Marseille.
