DKI Government Makes The Education Office Building As Isolation Area For Positive COVID-19 Pregnant Women

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the DKI Jakarta Government will prepare a building that belongs to the DKI Education Office as a place for COVID-19 isolation specifically for pregnant women.

The location is the building of the Education and Vocational Education Personnel Competency Development Center (UPT P2KPTK2) of the DKI Education Office in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta.

"We will prepare an independent isolation room for pregnant women, which is planned for the Education Office building next to Duren Sawit Hospital", said Riza at Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, Wednesday, February 3.

However, the plan for placing pregnant women who are vulnerable to the coronavirus is still being reviewed by the DKI Health Office. Because there needs to be a consideration in paying attention to its effectiveness and operation.

"It's still under evaluation and study. We'll see in the next few days", said Riza.

Some time ago, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan checked the UPT P2KPTK2 building belonging to the Department of Education next to Duren Sawit hospital to assess the potential to be converted into a controlled isolation area.

"As of January 24, the capacity of the COVID-19 referral hospital in Jakarta has been filled with 86 percent, ideally 60 percent. We must maintain a balance in hospital use because it is not only COVID-19 patients who need treatment", Anies said on his Instagram account @aniesbaswedan.
