The Stabbing Action In Cengkareng, The Police Check The Mentality Of The Perpetrators Because They Are Called ODGJ

JAKARTA - A man suspected of having a mental disorder with the initials J (43) was desperate to slash the victim with the initials R (53) on Jalan Melati, Kapuk Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta on Sunday, August 27. As a result of this action, the perpetrator was successfully secured not far from the crime scene (TKP).

"We have secured the suspect and are in the investigation stage. We are still investigating the motive," said Cengkareng Police Chief, Police Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang when confirmed by reporters, Monday, August 28.

Currently, the perpetrator with the initials J is still undergoing intensive examination at the Cengkareng Police Headquarters. As a result of the stabbing, the victim suffered injuries all over his body.

"The investigation is still ongoing. The alleged perpetrator still needs to be checked to ensure that he is ODGJ or not. An expert must carry out an examination," he said.

The perpetrator with the initials J was desperate to stab the victim using a machete. The police also confiscated a machete as evidence.

"The perpetrator was arrested in the Kapuk Village area, around the crime scene," he said.
