Former Chairman Of The National Commission For Child Protection Arist Merdeka Sirait Dies
JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection, Arist Merdeka Sirait, died of illness. This news was conveyed by the National Commission for Child Protection, Raihanif Putra.
"He has passed away to the house of God, Mr. Arist Merdeka Sirait," said Raihanif in a written statement, Saturday, August 26.
Raihanif said that Ariest breathed his last at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, Jakarta. "The funeral home is still being negotiated by the family," he said.
Ariest is said to be buried in the family cemetery.
"(The location, red) is in Medan, Porsea area," said Raihanif.

Arist is known to have served as Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection in 2010 replacing Seto Mulyadi or Kak Seto. He was born on August 17, 1960.
Before serving as Chairman of Komnas PA, Arist held the position of Secretary General. He held this position for 12 years or three terms.
