PGN Subsidiary, TGI Manages 1,000 Km Gas Network For Sumatra-Singapore Region
JAKARTA PT PGN Tbk as Pertamina Gas Subholding through its subsidiary PT Transporasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) continues to strive to maintain network reliability and operation excellence in the midstream sector of the natural gas business.
PT TGI itself is a company engaged in gas transportation or natural gas distribution through transmission pipes.

Currently, TGI has assets in the transmission pipeline which are included in the National Vital Object, namely the Grissik-Duri pipeline with a length of 536 km and the Grissik-Singapore pipe with a length of 468 km.
With a commitment to support the use of natural gas, he said, TGI continues to maintain its performance to achieve the vision of becoming an iTransporter of Choice for natural gas serving customers in the domestic markets of Sumatra and Batam, as well as the Singapore export market.
As of June 2023, the total volume of TGI gas flow is 558 BBTUD, consisting of a Grissik-Duri pipe volume of 284 MMSCFD and a Grissik-Singapore pipe volume of 274 MMSCFD.
The composition of natural gas distribution by TGI is 70 percent for domestic needs where the largest absorption is for oil and gas lifting and PGN in meeting the needs of its customers. While the remaining 30 percent is the distribution of export gas to Singapore.
TGI also plays a role in distributing natural gas to PGN jargas in Jambi, Dumai, Muaro Jambi, and Siak cities through Grissik-Duri pipelines. In addition, Grissik-Singapore Pipes participate in distributing gas to gas jargas in Musi Banyuasin, Batam City, and West Tanjung Jabung.

Meanwhile, PGN's Director of Strategy and Business Development Harry Budi Sidharta said that his party would continue to monitor this PGN subsidiary in order to carry out its role properly.
