Today, Saudi Arabia Officially Imposes A Ban On Entry For Indonesian Citizens Following The High Level Of COVID-19
JAKARTA - The Saudi Arabian government has imposed a ban on entry for 20 countries, including Indonesia, following the increasingly high spread of COVID-19.
This was conveyed by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Riyadh on its official Facebook page @KBRIinRiyadh reported by VOI, Wednesday, February 3.
"Considering the increasing rate of spread of COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia. The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has imposed a ban on entry to Saudi Arabia for individuals coming from 20 countries including the Republic of Indonesia", wrote the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh.
The entry ban does not apply to diplomats, health practitioners, and their families. The Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh appealed to all Indonesian citizens residing in Saudi Arabia or outside to adjust their travel plans with this new policy.
"The ban will take effect on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 21.00", said the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh.
The countries affected by this policy are the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Germany, the United States, Britain, South Africa, France, Egypt, Lebanon, India, and Pakistan.
