Lou Gramm Said, The Cause Of Foreigners Not Entering Rock Hall Is Personal Revenge

JAKARTA - In an interview with The Rock Shop With Ralph, the original Foreigner vocalist, Lou Gramm discussed the fact that the band was not included in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and was not even included in the vote for consideration.

"It has nothing to do with our music or the number of hits or fame or anything like that. It's a personal matter that we weren't involved there," Gramm opened.

"This is a personal revenge between the man who has [Majalah] Rolling Stone and Mick [Jones, guitarist of the Foreigner]," he continued.

"It's verygetable, and I don't think it's going to get any better. I think it's going to stay that way. I think we're being used as an example."

Asked if he thought the Foreigner should be included in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, this is Gramm said.

"Of course I do. [line up] the original original Foreigner. I gave an exciting sign at the end [and that's not something] that we need to discuss."

As is known, artists are entitled to a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single. The inclusion criterion includes "the influence and significance of the artist's contribution to the development and preservation of rock and roll."

Qualifying since 2002, the Foreigner has had a large number of rock hits, including Cold As Ice, Double Vision, Hot Blooded, I Want To Know What Love Is, Juke Box Hero, and Urgent, and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, winless.
