The Fire That Burned Residents' Settlements And Killed 2 People In South Petojo Reached A Loss Of IDR 28 Billion
The Central Jakarta Fire Management Sub-dept. (Sudin Gulkarmat) said the fire that hit a residential area on Gang Kober Street, South Petojo Village, Gambir District, could only be extinguished on Thursday, August 24, early in the morning.
"The fire extinguishing operation began at 01.55 WIB on Thursday morning. The total deployment of fire engines to the location was 28 units to extinguish the fire," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, August 24.
Meanwhile, according to the Gulkarmat Sub-dept., the type of building that caught fire consisted of a type of densely occupied residential building.
"The area burned is about 8000 square meters in RT 02, 03, 04 and 05. The loss is estimated at Rp28 billion due to the fire," he said.
Meanwhile, Gambir Sub-district Head Andri Ferdian confirmed that the location of the fire that hit his area was a densely populated area. Moreover, in that location, many houses are used as boarding houses.
"Most houses are used as indecosts," he added.

According to data from the Central Jakarta Fire Management Sub-dept. (Sudin Gulkarmat), the total number of residents affected by the fire reached 960 people from 240 families (KK) in 4 RTs.
Gambir Sub-district Head Andri Ferdian said 574 people were affected by the fire from 196 families.
"The identity of the victim died as a result of a fire named Tisna and Mrs. Anjar," he said.
