Neymar Refuses To Stop Partying Habits: Everyone Loves Fun

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil striker Neymar said he would never stop partying even though he was accused of being immature.

Neymar is known to be happy to hold lavish parties that invite celebrities who no doubt attract media attention.

"So who doesn't like parties? Everyone likes fun," Neymar said in an interview with French television station TF1 as quoted by Antara from the ESPN website.

"I know when I can go, I know when I can do that, when I can't," he continued.

"It's different from people thinking that I'm immature, for that I don't know what I'm doing."

Neymar, who turns 29 this Friday week, has been criticized for holding a New Year's party, reportedly attended by 150 people at his mansion in Rio de Janeiro, despite the peak of COVID-19 cases.

He added that he did not believe his social life had a negative impact on his performances on the pitch.

"I've been in football for several years," he said. "If you are 100 percent focused on not just playing football, in my opinion, you will explode. It's a time to relax, to calm down, I will never stop doing this."

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino was asked if he would allow Neymar to party at his younger brother Rafaella's birthday party in Brazil on March 11 which the player always participates in.

"We'll see when the time comes. When I started coaching, I told myself I wouldn't be flexible and I wouldn't let people out," said Pochettino.

Neymar has scored 83 goals in 101 appearances for PSG.
