11 Months Of The Pandemic, Jokowi: It Is Important To Have A Feeling That This Situation Is Not Just Ordinary
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reflected on the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic which has been going on for 11 months in Indonesia. Seeing the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, Jokowi considered the need for joint awareness regarding this unusual situation.
He conveyed this to Golkar Party cadres at the Golkar Institute launch event which was held virtually.
"I ask all Golkar Party cadres and regional head candidates to learn and gain experience from the current situation, it is important to have a feeling that the situation we are facing is not ordinary," said Jokowi, Tuesday, February 2.
Jokowi said that the problems facing the Indonesian nation in the future will be even more severe and complex. Until now, all countries are looking for ways to deal with the spread of the corona virus outbreak because they have not found the correct formula.
"The experience of 11 months has taught us that in facing a pandemic there is no standard formula. There is also no such thing as a correct formula formula, because 215 countries in the world are looking for the right formula to be used in their respective countries," said Jokowi.
Therefore, according to him, management is needed to manage the crisis, both in terms of health and economic recovery due to the pandemic quickly and accurately.
Jokowi said that currently the government is mobilizing all resources to tackle the epidemic to carry out vaccinations quickly to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.
"We are also balancing the brakes and gas to control the spread of the virus as well as implementing various national economic recovery programs, preparing various policies and programs to respond to post-epidemic opportunities that will trigger the economy to move faster," he said.
