Rice Stock In Tangerang Is Safe And Sufficient Despite The Dry Season
TANGERANG - Facing the dry season, Perum Bulog Sub Division (Divre) Tangerang ensures that rice stocks are safe because the availability of these commodities is sufficient until the end of 2023.
"The stock itself does not affect the dry season, because we have supplies from imports," said Head of Bulog Regional Division of Tangerang Omar Syarif in Tangerang, Banten, Saturday.
According to him, the stock of rice in Bulog's warehouse is currently available as many as 17,000 tons. This amount is sufficient to meet the needs of the people of Tangerang Raya for the next five months or until December 2023, even more than that.
"We have sufficient food stocks. We have a position at 17,000 tons of rice. The stock can meet the needs until the end of the year. And from the existing stock figures, we are supported by the availability figure from DKI Jakarta," he said.
Then, in addition to rice, other food stocks such as sugar, wheat flour and cooking oil are ensured to be safe and available to meet the needs of the community during the dry season.
One of them, such as the sugar stock in Bulog's warehouse, which now reaches 13 tons, 12,000 liters of cooking oil and about 6 tons of wheat flour. So that it is also safe and controlled to meet needs.
"Meanwhile, the price variant, such as rice, is still in accordance with HET provisions, which is Rp. 9,450 per kilogram, the RoseBrand brand cooking oil costs Rp. 16,000 per liter and sugar Rp. 14,000 per kilogram," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, August 19.

Nevertheless, his party hopes that the public will not need to worry because it ensures the availability of rice is safe during the long dry season.
"So the community also doesn't need panic buying, because with the availability of large stocks that we have, it is certain that it is safe for the public if later in need, they can go directly to the nearest Bulog offices or maybe also through the local government," he concluded.
