Centered In Pacitan, The 5.0 Magnitude Earthquake In East Java Has No Tsunami Potential
JAKARTA - The earthquake rocked the central and eastern parts of Central Java on Saturday morning, August 19. The 5.0 magnitude earthquake, centered in Pacitan, East Java, was reported to have no potential for a tsunami.
Citing information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, the earthquake occurred on Saturday morning at 00:99 WIB located at 8.99 south latitude, 111.06 east longitude or about 90 kilometers southwest of Pacitan, East Java.
