Jabodetabek Air Pollution Is Getting Worse, The Minister Of Manpower Discourses WFH For Private Employees
JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziah said that she would discuss the implementation of a work from home (WFH) system or working from home for private workers. This discourse follows the worsening condition of air pollution in Jabodebek.
Furthermore, Ida admitted that there had been discussions about the plan. However, it has not been decided what the final policy will be.
"We are still discussing, we have not come to a conclusion, whether it is an appeal from the minister, or an appeal from the private sector itself, or later the provincial government," he said at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 16.
Ida said, poor air pollution must be overcome together. According to him, one way is by reducing vehicle mobility.
"But I think that's indeed a problem that we have to overcome. The choices include WFH, we continue to discuss it," he said.

Ida admitted that she had not discussed the WFH of this private employee with entrepreneurs. However, according to him, the government is also looking for ways to prevent the level of pollution from getting worse.
"Immediately not (talk) yet, those are the discourses in the media that we arrested. I think this is a common problem, we will discuss which one is the best," he said.
According to Ida, this WFH option must be carefully considered so that it can determine which sectors can work from home.
"If that's the case, which job can be done at WFH, which one doesn't, we haven't got there yet. It's a discussion that we have to finalize," he explained.
