SURABAYA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto handed over two KRI units, namely KRI Pulau Fani-731 and KRI Pulau Fanildo-732 to increase the strength of the Indonesian Navy. "Today, Indonesia has a new and modern defense equipment arrival resulting from Indonesia's collaboration with the German federation government. The arrival of this defense equipment system is one of the close evidences of the cooperation between the two countries and the Ministry of Defense in particular," said Defense Minister Prabowo.
"As an archipelagic country, we need strong maritime strength. I convey my pride, respect and joy," said the Minister of Defense.
The two ships then appeared with six other ships in a parade witnessed by Defense Minister Prabowo and the ranks of the Indonesian Navy. The crew also saluted while traveling at a speed of 15 knots.

"Keep the example of heroism of Yos Sudarso in your soul. You must also give everything you have for this nation and people we love," said Defense Minister Prabowo to the Indonesian Navy at the end of his remarks.
