PKS Predictions For The 2024 Presidential Election Followed By 3 Pairs Of Candidates
JAKARTA - Secretary General (Secretary General) of the PKS DPP Aboe Bakar Al Habsyi believes that the 2024 election will be attended by three pairs of candidates for presidential and vice presidential candidates (cawapres).
"With the joining of the Golkar Party and PAN into the Prabowo Subianto coalition, the map of the presidential election is getting clearer. It can be concluded that in the 2024 election, there will be three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates," he said in a written statement, Sunday, August 13, which was confiscated by Antara.
He stressed that the support given by Golkar and PAN to Prabowo is a constitutional right that must be respected. He sees this as part of a democratic process that needs to be done with full respect.
He also emphasized that each party has the authority and independence to elect a presidential candidate in the election.
"I think the presence of three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates is quite ideal. It is necessary to avoid an unfavorable experience in the previous election, where community polarization occurs because of the two pairs of candidates," he explained.
Aboe Bakar hopes that the presence of three pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the upcoming elections will create a more balanced and diverse contestation.
He also invited all parties to jointly create an atmosphere of people's parties that brings joy.
Currently, there are three presidential candidates who will compete in the 2024 General Election. Prabowo Subianto is a presidential candidate promoted by the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR) by the Gerindra Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB), the Golkar Party and the National Mandate Party (PAN).
Meanwhile, Ganjar Pranowo was promoted by the PDI-P Party and the United Development Party (PPP).
Then, Anies Baswedan was carried by the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) by the NasDem Party, PKS and the Democratic Party.
