Prosecutors Confiscate Dozens Of Documents Of Corruption Cases Of Lhokseumawe Street Information Taxes
BANDA ACEH - The investigation team of the Lhokseumawe City Prosecutor's Office (Kejari), Aceh, confiscated dozens of documents from the results of a search at the Lhokseumawe Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) office regarding the alleged corruption case of embezzlement of road lighting tax with state losses reaching Rp3.4 billion.
Head of the Lhokseumawe District Attorney's Office Lalu Syaifudin said the search was a process in a series of investigations in the alleged corruption case of road lighting tax embezzlement for the 2018-2022 fiscal year with state losses reaching Rp3.4 billion.
"The charcoal items that were found and secured included various documents related to this case. Several rooms in the office were searched," said Lalu as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 11.
The Prosecutor's Office has also sent summons to witnesses who will be examined regarding the case and will begin to be questioned on Monday (14/8).
"Many witnesses will be examined, including the former mayor and acting mayor as well as the former Head of BPKD for the 2018-2022 period," he said.

Previously, the Lhokseumawe Kejari found indications of corruption in the Lhokseumawe City street lighting tax (PPJ) for the 2018 to 2022 fiscal years with state losses reaching Rp3.4 billion.
Then Syaifudin said the state loss reached Rp3.4 billion from the alleged corruption of the PPJ was still a temporary calculation or estimate from the investigative team.
"This case has just entered the investigation stage, for certainty of the value of state losses, we are still submitting calculations to experts or auditors," he said.
