Taylor Swift Releases Album 1989 (Taylor's Version) October 27
JAKARTA - solo singer Taylor Swift will re-release her old album titled 1989 (Taylor's Version) on October 27, amid her activities for the world tour of "The Eras Tour".
'Success!! '1989 (Taylor's Version)' is on the way to you! Album '1989' changed my life in many ways, and it made me very excited,' Taylor Swift wrote via her X/Twitter account Thursday local time.
The 1989 album was released in 2014 under the Big Machine Records (BMR) label. However, Taylor Swift had a dispute with her old label, including the issue of copyright and the sale of her works without the knowledge of the singer.
Therefore, Taylor Swift decided to record her songs from an album released under the BMR label. For the re-recorded album, Taylor Swift added the sentence Taylor's Version as a sign that her work is officially hers again.
"To be honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I've ever done because 5 songs 'From The Vault' are crazy," Taylor Swift continued her tweet, quoted by Antara.
