Ubi Farmers Loan Fund Corruption Suspect, Former Director Of BPRS Babel Helly Yuda Detained By Prosecutor's Office
The Bangka Belitung High Prosecutor's Office has detained the former President Director of the Bangka Belitung Sharia People's Financing Bank (BPRS), Helly Yuda after being named a suspect in a corruption case amounting to Rp7.025 billion."The suspect was detained yesterday at around 16.00 WIB after undergoing an examination," said Head of the Law Enforcement Section of the Babel Attorney General's Office, Basuki Rahardjo, in Pangkalpinang, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 10.The suspect is suspected of committing a criminal act of corruption in the management of working capital loans to sweet potato farmers at PT BPRS Bangka Belitung Mentok Branch in 2017 with a loss of Rp7,025,000,000 in state finances.The suspect was detained at the Class IIA State Detention Center of Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Province for 20 days, starting from 9 to 28 August 2023.Detention of suspects based on the Detention Order (investigation Level) Number: Print-700/L.9/Fd.1/08/2023 dated August 09 l 2023 on behalf of Helli Yuda.The articles suspected for the suspect are the primary Article 2 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.Furthermore, the subsidiary of Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
"The detention of the suspect was carried out by investigators based on Article 21 of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP)," he said.
