Remembering The Fall Of The Helicopter Killed 13 Soldiers, Danrem Reminded Not To Forget The Services Of TNI Soldiers In Poso

SULTENG - Commander of Korem (Danrem) 132 Tadulako Brigadier General TNI Dody Triwinarto reminded not to forget the services of TNI soldiers in protecting the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia from the threat of radicalism and terrorism in Poso Regency.

"As the next generation of the nation, never forget the history of our predecessor's struggle to create a safe and peaceful situation, especially in Poso Regency, it is not easy," he said, while leading the commemoration ceremony commemorating the crash of a helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army that killed 13 soldiers at the Tinombala Monument, Poso, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi), Thursday, August 10, was confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed that the commemoration ceremony was held in the framework of the 62nd Anniversary of Korem 132/Tadulako at the Tinombala Monument as a tangible manifestation of his annual respect for the 13 best heroes of the TNI.

He emphasized that the death of 13 of the TNI's best soldiers while carrying out their duties in order to maintain the upholding sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia from the threat of radicalism and terrorism in Poso Regency is a history of struggle that must always be remembered by all generations of the nation.

"Let's keep our spirits up to remember the struggle of the heroes and always do things that are in harmony, and pray for the struggle of the predecessor heroes," he said.

The 13 TNI soldiers died in duty on March 20, 2016, after the Bell 412 helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army who was traveling on the way to Poso from Watutau, Lore Peore, was struck by lightning in Kasiguncu Village, Poso Pesisir District, Poso Regency.

They are carrying out relief operations to the National Police who are eradicating the East Indonesia Mujahiddin terrorist group in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Poso, Verna Inkiriwang, who was also present at the ceremony, said that his party was optimistic that Korem 132/Tadulako would continue to be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and realizing common goals.

"With the support of all elements in this area, Poso Regency can be at the forefront in Central Sulawesi," he said.

He also emphasized that the importance of remembering the services of officers and soldiers who have sacrificed for the safety of Poso Regency.

The ceremony was also coupled with laying wreaths at the Tinombala Monument, providing assistance in the form of wheelchairs, providing basic food assistance to stunting children and orphans, as well as giving certificates of appreciation to school principals and students.
