Strengthening Indonesia's Economy Through Phase VI Business Meeting, Encourages Domestic Product Expenditures
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkumham), Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej officially closed the Phase VI Business Meeting activities at the Jakarta International (JI) Expo, Jakarta, Saturday, August 5. He advised, even though Phase VI Business Meeting activities were over, but the enthusiasm to play an active role in realizing Domestic Product Shopping (PDN) must continue to be inflamed.
"Today the Phase VI Business Meeting series has ended, but our active role in realizing domestic product spending continues to be inflamed," said the man who is familiarly called Eddy when closing Phase VI Business Meeting.
According to Eddy, this is important because the State Ministries/Institutions are the largest consumers of goods and services, both in the central government and local governments. "So that it is able to realize the target of spending to encourage Indonesia's economic growth," said Eddy.
With the holding of Phase VI Business Meeting, continued Eddy, it is hoped that both the Central Government, Regional Governments as well as BUMN and BUMD, can optimize the use of the APBN for Domestic Product Shopping by 95% of the total procurement of goods and services, until the end of 2023.
"This is to realize the theme of Phase VI Business Meeting this time, which carries the theme 'Freedom of Shopping for Domestic Products, Realize National Independence'," said Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Eddy.
Phase VI Business Meeting is a synergy between the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) and the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
This activity lasts for 3 (three) days from last Thursday (3/8/2023) to Saturday (5/8/2023), which is the implementation of Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2022 concerning the Acceleration of Increasing Use of Domestic Products and Products of Micro Enterprises, Small Businesses and Cooperatives in order to make the National Movement Proud to be Made in Indonesia successful in the Implementation of the Procurement of Government Goods/Services.
Based on the data, in this Phase VI Business Meeting activity, there was an increase in transactions of 29.5 trillion rupiah consisting of transactions by Ministries/Institutions of 18.5 trillion rupiah and carried out by the Regional Government of 11.34 trillion rupiah.

In addition, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights specifically also provides public services in the form of Independent Passport services, with 2,684 Petitioners for three days, and exhibitions for Correctional Inmates (WBP) products.
