Public Prosecutor Detains 3 Corruption Suspects Family Planning Aid Funds
The public prosecutor (JPU) of the South Aceh District Attorney has detained three suspects in the alleged corruption of family operational assistance funds planning a state loss of Rp. 382.7 million.
Head of the South Aceh District Attorney's Office Heru Anggoro said the detention was carried out after investigators from the South Aceh District Attorney transferred the case along with the suspect and evidence to the prosecutor.
"The delegation was carried out after the case was declared complete or stage two. Furthermore, the Public Prosecutor immediately prepared an indictment and transferred it to the Banda Aceh Corruption Court," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 3.
The three suspects have the initials MY, BM, and TS. The perpetrators each served as heads, secretaries, and treasurers of the South Aceh Regency Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (BKKP3A) in the 2016 fiscal year.
"The suspects MY and TS were detained at the Class IIB Tapaktuan State Detention Center (Rutan) for the next 20 days. Meanwhile, the suspect BM is under city detention because he is seriously ill," said Heru Anggoro.

Previously, the Head of the Intelligence Section of the South Aceh District Attorney M Alfryandi Hakim said the South Aceh Regency Government allocated a 2016 budget for family planning operational assistance of more than IDR 757.4 million.
The budget is managed (BKKP3A) in South Aceh Regency. However, in its management, it is suspected that there were irregularities based on an audit by the Inspectorate of South Aceh Regency, the state losses incurred in the case reached Rp382.7 million.
"The three of them are suspected of violating Article 2 Paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 as amended into Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption," said M Alfryandi Hakim.
