Gojek Why, How Come There Are So Many Cries Of Drivers Who Are Lonely With Orders?

JAKARTA - I don't know what got into Gojek, said the drivers who got anyep orders, aka few orders. Through Twitter social media, not a few of them complained about this.

One of the online motorcycle taxi drivers that VOI asked about complained that his income had decreased quite drastically due to the lack of orders. The priority or ranking system currently being developed by Gojek is considered very difficult for drivers.

"Yes, the name is also a priority system, so the driver who takes orders every day, he who often gets, also gets good stars from the customer, the effect of getting orders quickly," said Ucup not his real name to VOI, Thursday, February 20.

The priority or ranking system that is being implemented by Gojek makes motorcycle taxi drivers have to work harder to get orders. So those who are lazy or just hanging around will not immediately get orders from customers.

Moreover, this priority system uses an order sharing algorithm for each driver. Where Gojek implements a cross system of dividing the time every half an hour between drivers, in order to get a fair order.

"So those who usually get to the place of hangout can immediately get it, now this is anyep. So it is made flat, it is made fair, he just got it again in an hour, so it is not always as fast as it used to be," he said.

According to VOI's monitoring, this system is made so that drivers who are both diligent and not diligent will get orders, not just a priority like before. Likewise with Ojol's brother who we asked, who did not change direction a little.

"A lot of my friends are like that, they don't know how to play, that's why they immediately moved to Grab, they weren't ready for it. But if we do it, we will definitely get priority too," he continued.

This kind of thing also has an effect on Gojek customers, the experience is not immediately getting a VOI driver ever experienced. Even though around the pick-up point, at Manggarai Station, there were many Gojek drivers hanging around. However, the motorcycle taxi drivers who came to pick them up were approximately 400 meters from the exit of Manggarai Station.

During the trip, VOI had a chance to talk with the motorcycle taxi driver we were riding about the reach of the Gojek drivers when receiving orders. The reason is that many Gojek drivers who tap for a long time outside the station do not get pick-up orders.

The driver was also reluctant to answer, so we asked more specifically, is he diligent in "pulling orders" every day? He replied "yes, I often pull from morning to night."

He continued, we asked again if he had anyep orders recently? The answer, "no, just like a normal day, quite a lot."

The weather was drizzling, so we got a driver who was quite far from the pick-up point. Not infrequently motorcycle taxi drivers rarely activate the application to pick up passengers, because they prefer to take shelter from the rain.

"If it's raining, sometimes we also turn off the application, that's why there are lots of customers who get far away, even though there aren't many orders but because it's raining, we don't want to take risks. If it's like this (sunny weather), it's bound to be abundant (orders),"

When this news was released, VOI still had not received an answer from Gojek regarding the priority or ranking system that was being implemented. The hashtag #GojekKenapa also sat in the position of a trending topic on Twitter.

It is not known what caused this hashtag #GojekKenapa to dominate the trending column on Twitter. Various tweets also enlivened Twitter, but you can guess that this is an outpouring of the hearts of Gojek drivers who are quiet about orders.
