LDA Surakarta Palace Asks Gibran To Solve Past Revitalization Issues
SOLO - The Surakarta Palace Customary Council (LDA) has asked the government to resolve the remaining problems of revitalization carried out in the past that exist to date.
LDA Executive Chair Kanjeng Pangeran (KP) Eddy Wirabhumi said that every stage of revitalization of the Surakarta Palace always leaves problems or problems.
"Hopefully the revitalization plan will not be carried out later, Mas Wali (Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka) is still young. We want (with the Mayor) to solve the remnants of past problems," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 1.
One of them, on the east side of the North Square, the Surakarta Palace, known as the Glasses Keris. Initially, according to the commitment between the palace and the local government, the placement of traders was discussed together.
"Why, yes, because it belongs to the palace, the building that helps the local government. But in reality (traders) are placed alone without involving the palace. As a result, the palace never benefits from placing traders in the east of this square," he said.
In addition, according to him, there are people who increase the area of the building.
"Traders who occupy kiosks, say 3x4 meters in area. That can change 6x4 meters. Add karepe dewe sacks (Adding buildings arbitrarily by themselves) so that the revitalization building is damaged. Head of the series (imposed irregular)," said Eddy.

There are even people who are desperate to sell buildings that stand on palace land.
"There were suddenly 23 new kiosks added, one unit was sold freely at a price of Rp. 400 million. Even though it was palace land. It was someone else who sold it," continued Eddy.
Therefore, according to him, the revitalization of the Surakarta Palace which will be carried out in the near future can be an entry point to evaluate and straighten out the former revitalization.
He hopes Gibran has a different point of view from past leaders.
