Jurgen Klopp Just Laughed At Mbappe's Issue To Liverpool: Financially Not Allowing
JAKARTA - Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has responded to the issues that have recently circulated about the possibility of Kylian Mbappe getting closer to his club. Klopp denied and laughed about the news.
Liverpool have recently been caught up in rumors of Mbappe's move from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Reds are reportedly interested in recruiting the star on loan.
For Klopp, this news is just a passing wind. Because he knows for sure Liverpool's financial situation does not allow the issue to materialize.
"We laughed to hear that. I could only say he was a very good player, but the financial condition didn't allow us," Klopp said as quoted by Sky Germany on Tuesday, August 1.
"I don't want to damage the story, but as far as I know, there is no such plan. But it could be someone at the club preparing something and wanting to surprise me, but it hasn't happened as long as I've been here for eight years," he continued.
In his contract with PSG, this season will be the last for Mbappe at the French giant club. PSG is said to have no interest in extending cooperation with the 2018 World Cup winner.
With the situation of his contract, Mbappe is said to be moving at the beginning of this season. A number of well-known European clubs were also directly linked to Mbappe, one of whom was Real Madrid.

The Spanish club is known to have been eyeing the player since last season. But El Real in fact couldn't keep up with PSG's request which cost the player 200 million.
Apart from Madrid, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal is also said to be interested in signing Mbappe, but the player is reluctant to continue the meeting to discuss the move.
On the other hand, Liverpool were dragged along because they were considered to have the right option for Mbappe. One of the issues that triggered the Reds to bring in Mbappe was because it was reported that PSG had opened an option for other clubs to borrow the 24-year-old player.
