East Kalimantan Provincial Government Allocates IDR 57 Billion For Road Repairs In Berau
SAMARINDA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) has allocated a budget of Rp 57 billion for road infrastructure improvement that connects District, Tanjung Redeb with Talisingandi District, Berau Regency.
Head of the East Kalimantan PUPR Service, Aji Muhammad Fitra Firnanda, explained that the budget was used for the construction of road reconstruction as many as seven packages spread across several road points.
"The total allocation is IDR 57 billion, sourced by the East Kalimantan Provincial Budget in 2023," he said in Samarinda as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 28.
He explained that the increase in road capacity was carried out to withstand the current vehicle load, which is almost an average of over eight tons, with the construction of a road with a width of seven meters and a shoulder of one meter each.
This activity, he continued, is divided into two segments. The first segment is 3.2 kilometers long and the second segment is 1.8 kilometers long.
"This is proof of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government's commitment to improve the economy and welfare of the Berau community by fulfilling its basic infrastructure," said Muhammad Fitra.

According to the Head of Highways Division of the East Kalimantan PUPR Office, Muhammad Muhran, the road repair program in Berau Regency is a continuation of the program in the previous year. His party has started repairing the road since 2019 and is still under construction.
He said the total section of Jalan Tanjung Redeb - Talisingan, Berau Regency, which needs repairs is 150 km long. The realisasirigid pavement which was held from 2019 to 2023 was about 60 kilometers.
"We are targeting that by 2026 it will be 100 percent or the road conditions will be stable," said Muhammad Muhran.
