The Minister Of Industry Hopes That The Halal Industry Ecosystem Can Be Motivated Through IHYA 2023

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has again held the Indonesia Halal Industry Awards (IHYA) 2023 for the third time since it was held for the first time in 2021.

These activities are carried out to encourage the empowerment of the national halal industry, including through strengthening the halal ecosystem in the country, which is in line with the development of the sharia economy and halal lifestyle which are believed to be one of the important elements in the development of new and sustainable economic growth drivers.

"Through the implementation of the 2023 Indonesia Halal Industry Awards (IHYA), it is hoped that the halal industry ecosystem can be further motivated to collaborate in realizing Indonesia's vision as the Leading Halal Producer in the World," said Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita in Jakarta, Thursday, July 27.

In holding IHYA in 2023, the Ministry of Industry will give 21 awards, such as for the best halal innovation, the best social programs, the best halal supply chain, the best small industry, and the best halal industrial area.

Furthermore, awards are also given for the best export expansion, the best halal program, and the best halal financial support.

"We continue to strive so that this award can embrace the entire halal industry ecosystem, so that some adjustments to the categories and derivatives can be made by all stakeholders and participate," said Minister of Industry Agus.

On the same occasion, Plt. Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Putu Juli Ardika said, the IHYA 2023 was again held to give appreciation to stakeholders who have played an active role and carried out continuous innovation in the growth, development, and empowerment of the national halal industry.

"The IHYA implementation is expected to continue to be a driving force in increasing awareness and public understanding of the national halal industry," he said.

The event also invites the participation of the entire halal industry ecosystem, which consists of industrial companies, industrial estate companies, government agencies, higher education institutions, financial services institutions, and community organizations.

The series of IHYA 2023 events will be held online through ihya.kemenperin.go.id, with the participant registration period which will be open until August 25, 2023 at 23.59 WIB.

To enliven the IHYA series, the public can also participate in content creation competitions in the form of photos, videos and posters with the theme Halal Industry Production Process. This activity was initiated as an effort so that IHYA was increasingly recognized by the public to remote areas of the country, as well as increasing the participation of prospective recipients of the IHYA award.
