When Ermy Kullit Remembers Her Friendship With Margie Segers Through You've Got A Friend

JAKARTA - Ermy Kullit has been in the Indonesian music industry for 50 years. The pop and jazz singer was known for many of his hit songs in the 1980s and 1990s.

Throughout his career, Ermy Kullit called Margie Segers one of his best-known colleagues. The two of them just performed a duet at the 2023 Mount Bromo Jazz last weekend.

So close, Ermy Kullit was often called by Margie Segers' brother, even though he was younger. Ermy is known to have been born in 1955, five years younger than Segers.

"Margie Segers always calls me Sis Ermy, because my body is bigger. If Margie is smaller, yes," said Ermy Kullit in Bromo, Probolinggo after his appearance at the 2023 Mount Bromo Jazz.

In her duet appearance, Ermy and Margie sang the song You've Got A Friend popularized by Carole King in 1971.

Ermy said the song had deep meaning. He felt the song would be really good when it was sung with Margie.
