MRT Phase 2 Depot Land Is Not Clear, Heru Budi: Let The Governor Of 2024 Think About It

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that the placement of the MRT phase 2 depot land as the location of the last station on the north side is not yet clear.

However, Heru considers that the location of the MRT phase 2 depot should not be decided immediately during his leadership. Because, currently, phase 2 work is still focused on the construction of new stations that are connected from the HI Roundabout station.

"(The location of the MRT Phase 2 depot) let the Governor (DKI) in 2024 think," said Heru when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, July 24.

Heru said that his party would only determine the location of the MRT depot with temporary status, until finally the DKI Provincial Government managed to get land to build the MRT phase 2 depot.

"Our depot uses it more efficiently. So, for the time being the depot is minimalist. Right, it's still underground," said Heru.

"So, we calculate in terms of financing, the depot is still temporary. Unlike other depots," he added.

The Jakarta MRT 2A phase work has seven underground stations, namely Thamrin, Monas, Harmoni, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Glodok and Kota Stations. Meanwhile, phase 2B was continued with the construction of two stations, namely Mangga Dua, Ancol, and one depot.

Initially, the plan for the MRT phase 2 depot would be placed in Bandan Village, North Jakarta. However, it turns out that PT KAI as the land owner also plans to use it with third parties.

There are new options for placing the MRT depot in West Ancol. However, MRT has not been able to get the land for depots to be built.

The obstacle is that the building rights (HGB) part of the land in West Ancol still belongs to a Japanese company, PT waymas Flat Glass, even though the land utilization rights (HPL) belongs to the DKI Provincial Government on behalf of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol BUMD.

There are 7 HGB areas that have been contracted to PT waymas and 3 other HGB owned by DKI BUMD, namely PT Jakpro. The expiration date for HGBtechmas varies. HGB ends in 2022 and ends in 2029 the most.
