Monitored By 17 Hours Police, Boarding House 2 Suspected Of Dealers In Halteng Evidenced To Save 544.94 Grams Of Marijuana
MALUKU UTARA - Police arrested two suspected marijuana dealers in the boarding house area in Lelilef Wayabalen Village, Central Halmahera (Hateng), North Maluku. The police secured 544.94 grams of marijuana in the raid.
Halteng Police Chief, AKBP Faidil Zikri explained that the two suspected perpetrators were residents of Weda named West Java (23) and Rahmadi Marturbong S alais Madi (26).
"The results of the urine test [both] are positive for THC (doubly). The actions taken by the Halteng Police Narcotics Unit have secured the perpetrators and evidence," said Faidil in a written statement, Friday, July 21, confiscated by Antara.
Faidil explained that the raid was based on reports from residents that there were frequent marijuana buying and selling transactions in Lelilef Wayabulen Village.
The police who went to the location first monitored one of the boarding houses suspected of having drug transactions.
"Approximately 17 hours, members of the Halteng Police Narcotics Opsnal will monitor activities around the boarding houses that are targeted," he said.

After confirming that one of the boarding rooms suspected of storing marijuana, the police immediately carried out a raid on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at around 12.30 WIT.
Together with the owner of the boarding house, a search was carried out in front of the alleged perpetrator Rahmadi who was about to go to work. Meanwhile, another suspected perpetrator in West Java was sleeping in the room.
During the search, a large clear plastic sachet and 36 medium-sized clear plastic sachets contained marijuana with a gross weight of 544.94 grams were found.
Members of the Narcotics Unit of the Halteng Police then secured the two perpetrators to the Halteng Police Office for further investigation.
In addition to marijuana, the police also secured evidence of 1 blue Oppo 11 K brand cellphone, 1 iPhone 7 Plus beige.
