Dozens Of Houses In Setiabudi, South Jakarta Burned, Losses Estimated At More Than IDR 1 Billion

Dozens of houses on Jalan Anggrek 2 and Anggrek 1, Setiabudi, South Jakarta caught fire. It is known, the loss is estimated at more than IDR 1 billion.

South Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Officer Sukur Suwarno said the incident occurred on Friday, July 21, at 12.30 WIB.

"The object on fire is a house. It is suspected that the fire was short circuitd with an electric short circuit. The loss is estimated at IDR 1 billion," said Sukur in his statement, Friday, July 21.

Sukur explained that the incident began to see black smoke around the RT 02/02 area. On that basis, he immediately contacted Gulkarmat, South Jakarta.

Based on the report, said Sukur, 24 units of firefighters and 100 personnel were deployed. As a result, the fire was successfully tamed at 14:40 WIB.

"The hours left at 12.33 WIB and at 14:40 WIB the fire was successfully extinguished. There were no casualties in the incident. Meanwhile, the evacuation for victims was in the Muhammadiyah Vocational School Hall 15 Jalan Karbela Raya," he said.

Meanwhile, one resident named Een Sodiyah (58) admitted that there were dozens of houses on fire. This is based on the fact that the hotspots are in a densely populated area.
