Welcoming 1 Muharram, Bandung Regent Spreads Aid In The Form Of Shrouds

Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna distributed cloth aid to residents in various villages and sub-districts in Bandung Regency in order to welcome the Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1445 Hijri (H).

Dadang said that the assistance he provided symbolically through the management of the Bandung Regency Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) was then distributed to its recipients in preparation for the burial of the people who died.

"This cloth is shodaqoh simkuring (me), a grant (not a government grant), to help the community in curing," said Dadang in Soreang, Bandung Regency, Wednesday, July 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

Dadang revealed that the gift of this shodaqoh cloth had been carried out since he was still the head of Tegalluar Village, Bojongsoang District, Bandung Regency.

On 24 years ago, when giving a pilgrimage to a husband and wife who died in a day, Dadang admitted that he was surprised because the person who died had not been processed.

"I had time to ask Kadus why the body had not been collected. It turned out that because successively and no adults took care of it. From then on, the need for cloth for villagers was borne by me. Now that I have become the Regent of Bandung, I have given it to residents throughout Bandung Regency," he said.

Dadang also assessed that the welcoming activities of the Islamic New Year 1 Muharam had many benefits, such as reminding themselves to always be introspective, and also strengthening friendship.

"God willing, the agenda is routine, the implementation is in collaboration with MUI and other organizations," he said.
