Viral Video Gancet Couples Hugging Cannot Be Released In North Sumatra, Check The Facts
MEDAN - Viral video that shows North Sumatra men and women, they cannot escape when they hug. The narrative is embedded in the video, it is suspected that the two of them are making out.
The incident, which is often called gancet, took place in Tanjung Tiram District, Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra, Wednesday, January 27. In the video it appears that the two of them are secured by police in a pickup truck.
The local community was excited, they thought the man and woman were making out.
"Ado ado ajo these days, you can't hurry and gurgle uwang gilo (there's just nowadays, you can't escape, stick together, crazy people)," said the account that posted the video.
Kapolsek Labuhan Ruku, AKP Jagani Sijabat denied the narrative that the two were making out. Both of them were wearing full clothes. Jagani also said both of them have mental disorders.
"That was last night, we carried out a patrol, yes, this crazy person, both women and men are both crazy, holding (hands). After the crowd, they were scared, hugging," Jagani told reporters, Thursday, January 28.
To maintain the situation, the police took the two of them to the Labuhan Ruku Police Headquarters to be sent back to their families.
"We took both of them crazy to the police station, then we looked for his family, we returned them to his family, who was a woman. (Then) the man we gave him a change of clothes, took a shower, we sent him home," said Jagani.
