Unemployed Youth Arrested Bringing Sickles During A Brawl In Gambir
JAKARTA - A young man carrying a sharp weapon was arrested by members of Citra Bhayangkara under the auspices of the Gambir Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit while on patrol. The perpetrator is known to be unemployed, graduated from SMK.
The perpetrator with the initials MAJ (21) was arrested during a brawl on Jalan Imam Mahmud, Duri Pulo Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.
"Initially, residents reported it to the image of the shadow (pokdar kamtibkas). It was seen that someone was carrying a sharp weapon. After being secured by the pokdar, then the MAJ perpetrator and the sharp weapon type sickle were taken to the Gambir Metro Police Headquarters," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Gambir Metro Police, Kompol Andhika Aris when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 17.
During an examination at the Gambir Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, the perpetrator MAH admitted that the sharp weapon belonged to his colleague.
Even so, the sickle-type weapon was on him when he was arrested by members of the bhayangkara image.
"The perpetrator with the initials MAJ (21) admitted that the knife belonged to H, his friend. But we still process MAJ according to his mistake," he said.
From the information of the MAJ perpetrator to the police, he carried out a brawl because he had made an appointment through his Instagram social media account. After the challenge was made, the MAJ group immediately accepted the challenge and attacked the opposing group.

Currently, MAJ is still conducting examinations and checking urine tests at the Gambir Police Headquarters. The police are also still tracking the social media accounts of the group of perpetrators used for brawls.
As a result of his actions, MAJ was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951.
"The Gambir Police have no tolerance for brawlers. We will take firm action and process in accordance with applicable law," he said.
